Meridian Independence Day Festival July 4th, 2011 3:00-10:30pm Storey Park

Independence Day is almost here! The City of Meridian and Meridian Speedway are planning a great festival to celebrate our nation’s independence on July 4th. Come down to Storey Park (205 E Franklin Road in Meridian) for some great family fun starting at 3:00pm including live music, bounce houses, an obstacle course, and a climbing wall. The races in Meridian Speedway get started at 6:30pm and the evening culminates with a fantastic fireworks display that is visible throughout the Treasure Valley. Great food vendors will also be at the park throughout the event with items such as pizza, funnel cakes, snow cones, corn dogs, caramel corn, ice cream and more. The fireworks display will begin about 10:15pm and the baseball field will open at 7:00pm to make room for more people to view the show. You can also bring your own non-arial fireworks to the park as we there will be an area designated to set them off starting at 9:00pm. In addition, music for the fireworks display will be played in Storey Park, the Speedway, and broadcast over FM 92.7 so tune in even if you’re not at the event!
