It’s almost time again to see the animals, view incredible arts and crafts, ride the carnival rides, and enjoy some great concerts. The 2013 Western Idaho Fair is open August 16th – 25th from noon to 11pm. This year’s line up at the Western Idaho State Fair includes Jake Miller, Los Cuates De Sinaloa, Kutless, Foreigner, The Guess Who, Brantley Gilbert, and Clay Walker. There will also be a variety of hypnotists, magicians, and other unique acts as well performing throughout the fairgrounds. From comedy acts, to escape artists, and even a blacksmith, you’ll find something that you and your family can enjoy in between the rides and assortment of vendors and food.
Tour de Fat bike festival is coming to Anne Morrison Park, Aug. 17th. Boise is one of only 12 locations in the nation where New Belgium Brewery brings this annual event. With festivities kicking off at the park with a costumed bike parade cruising through Boise then finishing off at the park for live, interactive entertainment, bike giveaways, food, and of course a New Belgium beer tent. Proceeds go to benefit The Southwest Idaho Mountain Biking Association, The Treasure Valley Cycling Alliance and The Boise Bike Project.
